On May 17th 2007 the IAM led the Day
of Action on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. The
cry “Enough is Enough” was heard loud and clear. The people have
had enough of our jobs and livelihoods leaving this country.

of thousands of workers lost jobs, pensions and health care while CEO’s
and senior executives gorged themselves with outrageous compensation
packages. It’s time for a president who isn’t deaf and blind to this
kind of rampant injustice.”
Presidential candidates Senator Hillary Clinton, Senator
Joseph Biden and Rep. Dennis Kucinich spoke to the activists who
attended the rally along with: Rich Trumka, AFL–CIO
Secretary-Treasurer, and lawmakers Rep. John Sarbanes, Rep. George
Miller, (D-MN), Rep. Sheila Jackson Le, Rep. Eleanor Holmes NortoN, Sen.
Tom Harkin, Sen. Ben Cardin, Former Transportation Secretary Rodney
Slater, Rep. Corrine Brown, Rep. Neil Abercrombie and Sen. John Kerry.
